It's in a village in the heart of Auvergne in Central France and almost exactly at the centre of the quarter million acres that make up the Livradois-Forez Nature Park. At an altitude of about 3,000ft, it lies mid-way between the cities of Clermont Ferrand to the northwest and St. Etienne to
the east. The area is sometimes referred to as the "Cheeseboard of France", its local foods being
wholesome and natural. One of its major exports is mineral water, with Volvic produced in the area and Vichy nearby. It is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty.
As a "Residential Workshop", our aim is to provide a stress-free, peaceful and healthy environment in which guests can relax and unwind from the stresses and pressures of city life. Such a rural atmosphere, has been proven through global research, to stimulate the individual's receptivity to the learning process.
Workshop experiences will be balanced with leisure time, socialising with others in the group and participating in excursions and outdoor activities if desired.
The Linux Coaching Inn keeps workshop class sizes down to a maximum of 8 participants. There is no minimum, courses will
operate even if only one person is booked.
The Centre has one single room, plus double and twin-bedded rooms. Where possible, participants will be offered the opportunity to share, however, if single occupancy is a requirement, a single supplement may apply.
Breakfast will be self-service buffet style. In keeping with the french tradition, lunch will be the main meal of the day and to add more than a flavour of france to your stay, will be in traditional french style and taken in the fully licensed Relais Gaspard des Montagnes opposite.
Where possible, evening meals will also be taken at the Relais, otherwise will be served buffet style in-house. All meals offer a selection of fresh local produce. A vegetarian menu can also be provided if sufficient advance notice is given.
There are many peaceful woodland walks to be taken and many nearby villages that can be visited either on foot or by bicycle. Many have historical 12th - 14th century chapels and churches.
Horses and ponies can also be hired by the hour, half or full day for some outdoor activity in true Auvergne style.
